Unpublished records - several specimens, Loyalty Is., LIFOU Expedition, November 2000, det. J. Poupin (MNHN, Paris).

Shield and cephalic appendages. - Ocular scale with a single terminal spine (but up to 3 spines in few abnormal specimens).

Chelipeds (P1). - Upper margin of right chela tuberculated or spinous. Outer face of left palm regularly convex.

Ambulatory legs (P2-P3). - Dactyl of P3 subequal to propodus or slightly shorter (0.9–1.2). Distal pilosity of P3 more prononced than on distal P2, but not forming a dense brush of setae.

Armament of telson. - Left lobe of telson with several spines disposed on posterior margin only (4–7). Right lobe with several spines (0–4).

Coloration. - Shield green-olive. Ocular peduncle uniformly colored. Detailed coloration of ocular peduncle: pink-gray. Distal antennular peduncle blue or dark blue (with a basal black patch; basal segment of peduncle black, median segment blue; flagella orange). Distal antennal peduncle yellow-orange (basal segments green and cream; flagellum orange). Chela uniformly colored, often grading to paler distally (green, turning to cream; carpus of cheliped green). Ambulatory legs (P2 & P3) with ring(s) (distal 2/3 of dactyls cream, proximal 1/3 with a purple ring; propodi pink-green; carpi and meri green).

Habitat. - Intertidal rocky shores, facultative associates of corals (e.g. Pocillopora, Acropora).
