Palibythus magnificus Davie, 1990

Dix spécimens de cette langouste ont été récoltés en 1978, en face de 'Taravao', la presqu'île de Tahiti. Malheureusement, ils ont été mangés !! aucun spécimen n'ayant été conservé pour les collections du Muséum de Paris. D'après la photographie, le Dr. P. Davie, Queensland Museum, a reconnu P. magnificus, une langouste rare qu'il a décrite des Samoa Occidentales. Vit entre 70-240 m. Longueur du sp. photographié, 300 mm.

Ten specimens of this lobster have been collected in 1978 in front of 'Taravao', Tahiti Island. Unfortunately they have been eaten (!!), no specimens being preserved for Museum collections. According to this photograph, Dr. P. Davie has however recognized P. magnificus that he described from Western Samoa. This lobster lives between 70-240 m. Photographed specimen is 300 mm long.
